Title:  Failure Analysis Engineer (Lead)

We are looking for individual with hands on experience in use of test/analysis equipment used in Semiconductor/Electronics field for failure analysis.  Applicant will function as a Failure Analysis expert for electronic Products from Consumer, Medical, Industrial and Aerospace industries.

Job description:

• Develop/review product Failure analysis process
• Manage/oversee Failure analysis process and all related activities
• Conduct Root Cause analysis for electronic and electro-mechanical components/products 
• Create Failure analysis/test reports and presentations
• Communicate to technical teams and management
• Provide input to product designers related to ‘Root Cause’ and ‘Failure Analysis’ and work together to improve product design.
• Use appropriate tools/methodologies to perform functions as above 
• Perform above functions for number of projects at a time.

Education and Experience:
PhD in any related science or engineering field with minimum of 3 years hands on experience in Failure Analysis of electronic component/products.
OR
MS in any related science or engineering field with minimum of 7 years hands on experience in Failure Analysis of electronic component/products.
 
Skills:

• Expertise with typical failure mechanisms: Chemical, Mechanical, Thermo-mechanical , Electrical etc
• Expertise with destructive and non-destructive Failure analysis equipment like X-Ray, C- SAM, Cross-sectioning, SEM, SEM-EDX
• Expertise in selection and training of technicians on equipment mentioned above will be a plus 
• Strong technical background
