Regulatory Compliance Engineer

We are looking for motivated and well organized individual to lead a group engaged in World wide Regulatory Compliance, EMC (Electromagnetic Compliance) and Electrical Safety (UL, TUV), of Consumer electronic products.  Applicant will be responsible for appropriate and timely Regulatory certification of Products.

Job Description:

• Manage certification requests i.e.
• Interface with Development team to establish scope, schedule, and other requirements
• Plan the work with Regulatory compliance team
• Schedule work to meet expectations
• Feedback/Reporting to all stake holders
• Use of Project server tools as a means of planning and  communication
• Schedule EMC/Safety Regulatory Compliance Certification work done by different Vendor partners
• Package documentation (Test Reports, Schematic, Drawings, etc.) and samples required by selected Vendors to generate and or submit for Regulatory Compliance Report
• Follow up/Acquire Test Report from Internal Lab test and or Vendor Lab Test to Save/File them appropriately
• Coordinate all activities relevant to getting final reports and submittal required to demonstrate compliance with the various regulations for EMC and Product Safety
• Generate certificates, declarations of conformity.
• Follow up/Acquire Compliance Report from Vendors and Save/File them appropriately
• Coordinate and provide feedback to the development team members and management..
• Train new and existing employees as applicable.
• Interface with management, Engineers and Project Server administrator

 

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in World wide EMC and Electrical Safety Regulatory Compliance involving:
• EMC test and regulatory standards
• Electrical Safety test and Regulatory standards
• Working with Regulatory agencies and agents
• Working with test labs for EMC and Safety evaluation /testing.
• Project management experience is a plus
• Project Server 2007 experience is a plus

Education:
Bachelor or Master or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering

Skills:

• Knowledge of EMC standards (World wide) as applies to Consumer electronic products
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards (World wide) as applies to Consumer electronic products
• Knowledge of Regulations in different countries related to EMC and Electrical safety of Consumer product 
• Excellent communication
• Organized and goal driven
• Strong sense of ownership for the function being performed
• Good project management and leadership skills a plus
